The Solar/Hybrid Technician is responsible for performing maintenance and troubleshooting of telecom power systems, including electrical installations, generators, and solar hybrid systems under the instruction of senior Engineers.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of solar hybrid power systems at telecom sites.
• Install, commission, and maintain solar PV systems, hybrid controllers, inverters, and associated power equipment.
• Troubleshoot and rectify faults in solar PV systems, hybrid power equipment, and related electrical components.
• Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot battery banks, electrical panels, DC distribution boards, and power cabling.
• Perform regular inspection, cleaning, and technical maintenance of solar PV modules to ensure optimal system performance.
• Monitor solar system performance and identify abnormalities, alarms, and potential equipment failures.
• Inspect and maintain proper grounding/earthing and ensure compliance with electrical safety requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and perform routine checks of solar panels, mounting structures, cables, connectors, batteries, and protection devices.
• Assist engineers and senior technicians during major repairs, installations, system upgrades, and commissioning activities.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, site checklists, fault reports, and technical documentation.
• Ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of solar hybrid and telecom power systems.
• Follow all applicable electrical safety procedures, PPE requirements, and site safety standards.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the line manager.

• High school graduate or a technical school graduate.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent in local languages (Dari and Pashto); intermediate English communication skills will be a plus.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of the tools, equipment, and procedures specific to the job role.
• Physically fit to perform tasks.

• Willing to travel to other provinces and work additional hours as needed.
