Job Summary

The Regional Assistant Sales Manager supports the Head of Sales in managing and executing sales activities across assigned provinces. The role focuses on customer engagement, coordination, field team support, market monitoring, and execution of GGT sales strategies. This position strengthens regional sales performance, enhances product visibility, and ensures smooth operational coordination between Sales, Logistics, Finance, and Marketing. The role also prepares the incumbent for future promotion to Assistant Regional Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Territory Support

  • Assist in conducting regular field visits to meet customers, availability’s, and prospects.
  • Support daily customer engagement activities, including calls, follow‑ups, and visit scheduling.
  • Maintain updated records of customer visits, leads, and sales outcomes.
  • Educate customers on product features and benefits under the guidance of the Head of Sales.
  • Support the promotion and sale of GGT products across assigned regions.

Market Monitoring & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences and report findings to the Head of Sales.
  • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports.
  • Collect field feedback, photos, and market intelligence from regional teams.
  • Maintain and update computerized databases of customers, prospects, and territory performance.

Field Team Support

  • Support the supervision and coordination of regional salesmen and sales supervisors.
  • Follow up on team performance, stock levels, and sales targets.
  • Assist in ensuring proper use and visibility of promotional materials (vitrines, stickers, carts, etc.).
  • Monitor the condition and usage of sales vehicles assigned to the region and report issues promptly.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

  • Coordinate with Finance and Logistics to resolve delivery, payment, and inventory issues.
  • Work closely with Marketing to support brand visibility and provincial‑level promotions.
  • Assist in planning and managing sales and marketing resources within approved budgets.

Sales Strategy & Execution Support

  • Support the implementation of GGT sales strategies and daily monitoring of execution.
  • Assist in developing and executing sales team motivation programs (monthly/quarterly/yearly).
  • Participate in setting sales targets and incentive structures under supervision.
  • Support the development and implementation of S&OP‑related SOPs for outstation branches.

Compliance & Representation

  • Ensure adherence to company policies and represent GGT professionally in all external interactions.
  • Maintain high ethical standards and ensure compliance with reporting and documentation requirements.

 

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales & Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree is an advantage.

Experience

  • 4–7 years of experience in sales, field sales, or regional coordination.
  • Experience in FMCG or general trading companies preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple provinces is an asset.

Languages

  • Pashto and Dari (fluent)
  • Advance English proficiency

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and digital reporting tools.

Other Skills

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good understanding of regional markets and customer behavior.
  • Ability to support and motivate field teams.
  • Strong time management, organization, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and travel frequently.
  • Valid driving license (if company vehicle is provided).
  • High level of integrity and commitment to company values.
