Job Description
Job Summary
- He will be responsible for critical and emergency patients whenever need.
- Respond promptly to calls from the hospital, typically within 15-30 minutes, to ensure and to provide 24/7 coverage.
- Document all on-call activities, procedures performed, and patient care provided.
- History taking and completion of related documentations for admitted patients.
- Perform complete physical examination of patients as per their need.
- Advice, completion and accurate interpretation of laboratory and radiology exams according to patient’ needs and relevant guidelines and forms.
- Conduct regular patient visit as needed
- Make accurate diagnosis of patient’s illnesses in consideration to history, physical exam and laboratory exam findings.
- Advice and manage treatment of admitted patients as per diagnosis and patient’s needs.
- Ensure that the Emergency Care procedures are applied for patients.
- Post operative counseling, managing and follow up of critically ill patients according to patient health status.
- Assist in data collection according to data collection method and tools.
- Follow up of specific standards, protocols, procedures, rules in regulations during daily works.
- Built his/her self own capacity and participate in training session assigned for.
- Participate in preparation of action plan for implementation of standards and participate in quarterly review session of CRHC.
- Provide preventive and primitive counseling in CRHC to the patients and clients
- Participate actively in the infection prevention of Emergency Unit and hospital.
- Â Perform other related tasks assigned by supervisor.
Job Requirements
- Medical Degree from recognized university.
- Specialization degree (in general Surgery) attested by MoPH.
- 3-5 years of work experience as a surgeon at one of the recognized hospitals.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training certification is required.
- Experience managing complex surgical cases and handling emergencies. And able to work 24/7 to ensure provision of health services to the patients.
- Strong communication skill.
- Good interaction and pleasant behavior with patients, clients and colleagues.
- Very good knowledge of Pashto, Dari and English Language (written and spoken).
- Basic computer (Ms. Office) skills.
- Â Ability to work in a flexible schedule, including night shift, weekends, and holidays as needed.
