Job Description

Job Summary

  1. He will be responsible for critical and emergency patients whenever need.
  2. Respond promptly to calls from the hospital, typically within 15-30 minutes, to ensure and to provide 24/7 coverage.
  3. Document all on-call activities, procedures performed, and patient care provided.
  4. History taking and completion of related documentations for admitted patients.
  5. Perform complete physical examination of patients as per their need.
  6. Advice, completion and accurate interpretation of laboratory and radiology exams according to patient’ needs and relevant guidelines and forms.
  7. Conduct regular patient visit as needed
  8. Make accurate diagnosis of patient’s illnesses in consideration to history, physical exam and laboratory exam findings.
  9. Advice and manage treatment of admitted patients as per diagnosis and patient’s needs.
  10. Ensure that the Emergency Care procedures are applied for patients.
  11. Post operative counseling, managing and follow up of critically ill patients according to patient health status.
  12. Assist in data collection according to data collection method and tools.
  13. Follow up of specific standards, protocols, procedures, rules in regulations during daily works.
  14. Built his/her self own capacity and participate in training session assigned for.
  15. Participate in preparation of action plan for implementation of standards and participate in quarterly review session of CRHC.
  16. Provide preventive and primitive counseling in CRHC to the patients and clients
  17. Participate actively in the infection prevention of Emergency Unit and hospital.
  18.  Perform other related tasks assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

  1. Medical Degree from recognized university.
  2. Specialization degree (in general Surgery) attested by MoPH.
  3. 3-5 years of work experience as a surgeon at one of the recognized hospitals.
  4. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training certification is required.
  5. Experience managing complex surgical cases and handling emergencies. And able to work 24/7 to ensure provision of health services to the patients.
  6. Strong communication skill.
  7. Good interaction and pleasant behavior with patients, clients and colleagues.
  8. Very good knowledge of Pashto, Dari and English Language (written and spoken).
  9. Basic computer (Ms. Office) skills.
  10.  Ability to work in a flexible schedule, including night shift, weekends, and holidays as needed.
